Kirsten writes, "I am a long time Outblush fan and I have enjoyed watching the blog evolve. Today I have finally decided to write in with my latest problem since there hasn't been a bridesmaid dress request for a few days.
My older sister is getting married and I am very excited- think of the fashion opportunities!.
She has however rejected all of my bridesmaid ideas (wrist corsages, hats, and gloves).
My older sister:
Her dress is a sweet heart trumpet style with lace detail at the waist. I can't leak the picture to the internet of course.
Me: I consider myself fashionable and cannot picture myself in a "run of the mill" bridesmaid dress.
Problem: She wants Navy floor length dresses that do not have the following: flowers, crystals, glitter, bows, any type of print, shiny fabric, a $200+ price tag (she spent her budget on her dress)
Please keep in mind that the bridesmaids (4 total) are from size 4 to 14 and some with ample cleavage and some with less. Please help I need to call in the professionals!"
Phew, Kirsten. This was a pretty tough one. There aren't a lot of dresses that fit every single criteria on the list, so the ones I found take care of most of your sister's requests. Maybe one of them will strike enough of a chord that she'll be willing to bend a little. Personally, I think #1 might be the best bet. (See how she's looking at the others with disdain?) Good luck, and remember that no matter what you and the other bridesmaids are wearing, it's going to be a great day! -Robin
