Holiday Lush writes: Love your site and your sense of humor! Very refreshing. I'm writing because my guy was recently promoted and is in the office he's been working toward for several years. We are really into Madmen (who isn't I guess...) but he thinks it would be cool to have a little space in his office for a small bar set. A vessel for some gin (he's not a whiskey drinker) and a couple of glasses. I'm having a hard time finding the right set that is conservative, modern, and manly. Something that says "Don Draper" and not "I have a drinking problem." I'd be so grateful if you could help me out! Thank you!
How lucky that your man gets to drink on the job! We've been trying to get that past our boss for years, but she can be such a stick in the mud. Congrats to your guy, here are some options for toasting his success.
1. Ralph Lauren Glen Plaid Decanter ($120) and Glasses ($50 for 4)
2. Kate Spade Madison Square Decanter ($150) glasses available for $30 each
3. Bormioli Rocco Selecta 7-Piece Whiskey Gift Set ($20)
4. Ravenscroft Crystal Wellington Decanter ($65)
5. Pottery Barn Pewter Decanter ($69)
Robin here:I have an obsession with all things glittery, sparkly and glam, even though I tend to spend most of my time in jeans or gym clothes. If I'm not shopping or working out, I'm planning a social gathering of some sort, ranging from a Big Lebowski Bash, Stitch 'n' Bitch, or an Evening of Cocktails and Crudité. Ask me about fitness, crafts, fashion, makeup, hostess gifts, good tunes or my ultimate shopping victory: size 12 rhinestone and spike studded pumps for Vegas.
