Liz wrote: Hello internet friends! I am a very, VERY long time reader and I find myself in quite the pickle. I am attending a dear friend's wedding this August, and I need a dress! There are a few things that sticky this situation up - one being I am plus-sized (I would need the dress in a 16/18), and the second being I have worn a dress once to prom and once to my university graduation, so I would really like the dress to hit at least my knees. Over the past couple of years I have worked my sweet ass off to lose over 100lbs, so I would like this to almost be like a (delicious) cake-topper of my weight loss. My budget is ideally max 250$. I believe I would like something 'flow-y', ideally darker, and dare I say maybe even some sparkle somewhere if it needs to come to that...I would love to look feminine, classy and confident, and I'm hoping you guys can help. Thank you so much!
First and foremost, Liz, YOU ROCK for working so hard to lose over 100lbs! That's an insanely hard accomplishment, and if I could, I would toast you in person with a glass of champagne. Kudos! I know you wanted mostly darker colored options, but I slipped a few brighter/lighter colors in 'cause darn it, you deserve to stand out! Hope one of these is your "the crowd parts when you enter the room 'cause you're so beautiful" dress!
