Our diva kitty has grown tired of the Loyal Lux Cat Cabin. Good thing there's a new model out: the Loyal Luxe Cat Teepee ($23)! Everyone knows cats love cardboard, but this playhouse has six interchangeable ornaments to amuse us. We decide if Ms. Fancy Cat gets a dream catcher, feather, tomahawk, eagle or bull's head over her door.

Wow. Really Outblush?
I am so disappointed in you.
As a Native American, this product is really, really offensive. And hurtful. Its completely trivializes Native Americans, and reinforces racist stereotypes.
Do you sell products that look like houses of African-Americans? or Asians? How about Hispanics? No, of course not. What makes you think this is okay?
Every day in our society my fellow Native Americans and I have struggle to maintain a sense of dignity and honor. We are turned into half-naked, savage mascots for sports teams, or seen as uneducated morons talking in "indian-speak".
I really hoped Outblush wouldn't carry products that continue to propagate racist stereotypes, like so many other sites are for the holidays.
Please, do better than the other sites that I have made the same request to (they all ignored my plea, and deleted my comment). Please, out of respect for Native Americans, remove this product from your site.
Hoping for a holiday miracle,
The Peaceful Tlingit

I believe you are missing the point of this post (and perhaps the point of this website entirely). As I see it, this represents nothing more than a novelty dwelling my feline companion would surely enjoy. No pejorative or derogatory sentiments toward Native Americans were expressed. This simply represents a BUILDING (not group of people) that is found in some semblance in various ethnic groups around the world (see Yurt, Yaranga, etc) albeit most notably associated with Native Americans in the United States. Had this been a cat toy shaped like a red-faced Native American Chief with feathered headdress, I would understand your outrage. As a woman of color myself, I am sensitive to how different ethnic groups are stereotyped. However, I do not believe this represents Native Americans in a negative light. This is not the forum for race relations. This is a site about shopping.
