We go way back.
Well. Actually they have no idea who we are, but we've been fans of Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo since the Nagano Olympics in 1998. (They're proof, if you needed it, that being in your early or even late thirties does not make you "old".) We're absolutely thrilled that they're the new pairs figure skating gold medalists, and we HAD to feature them on Outblush somehow. Thing is, normal people look pretty funny in those skating costumes, and we don't think that the world is ready for ice skates as a fashion statement. (Or a health risk.) So we'll stick to plugging the music from their gold-medal programs: Albinoni's "Adagio in G Minor" as performed by the Eroica Trio and Queen's "Who Wants To Live Forever". Pick up both the Eroica Trio's Baroque ($17) and Queen's 3-CD Platinum Collection ($19) and you can wave your arms and slide across the kitchen floor in your socks as much as you want. We won't tell a soul.
