Charlotte Gainsbourg: Irm
French actress & singer Charlotte Gainsbourg's newest album, Irm, ($12) was co-written and produced with Beck, and it's clearly reflected in this eclectic collection of tunes. Our favorite, "La Collectionneuse," features velvety, dissonant piano chords against Gainsbourg's signature whispery speak-singing style. Songs are by turns ethereal and spunky, and always unexpected. There's even a beautiful Beatles-esque duet with Beck, "Heaven Can Wait," that'll have you tapping your toes and bopping to the beat like a teenager.

I SECOND THIS! been crazy about her album and it's been on loop <3 <3 KCRW also had her in the station and she did an interview and live set w/ Beck and it's so amazing. I'm dying to see her live. You guys ought to check it out. and saw her performance somewhere online when she was on Letterman too.
