Summertime Gets Smurfy

Today's hottest TV stars have made the jump to the silver screen! Check out "How I Met Your Mother's" Neil Patrick Harris, "Glee's" Jayma Mays, and "Modern Family's" Sofia Vergara in "The Smurfs", which hits theaters on July 29.

Recapture your childhood with a big-screen 3-D version of your favorite Saturday morning cartoon. In the 1980s, there were Smurfs everywhere - on lunchboxes, T-shirts, stickers, and more. This 21st-century update finds the little blue guys (and gal!) in New York City's Central Park after accidentally passing through a portal that transported them from their magic village into Manhattan. The Smurfs enlist the help of a married couple (Harris and Mays) as they flee from evil wizard Gargamel (Hank Azaria), who's followed them to the Big Apple, and try to find a way back home.
Pop singer Katy Perry lends her pipes to sexy Smurfette, while acting veteran Jonathan Winters voices Papa Smurf. Alan Cumming, George Lopez, Fred Armisen, Kenan Thompson, and celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck also provide some Smurfy voices.

Grab a group of friends, your kids, or a hot date and become a kid again when you check out "The Smurfs"! Get started now at the official movie site.
