Oh, little Falcon Heene, we're so glad to hear you're safe & sound after pretending to float away in a homemade weather balloon across part of Colorado. Your parents are... interesting, and we can see why you wanted to escape. Minor emancipation might be a good option for you, but all those documents are hard to read for someone with a first-grade reading level. A good primer? The 1984 classic film Irreconcilable Differences, ($14) starring Ryan O'Neal, Shelly Long, and a young Drew Barrymore. It's about a girl whose parents are undergoing a messy public divorce, so she decides to emancipate herself at the age of ten in order to avoid a custody battle. It's only $14, so hopefully you've got enough money stashed in your piggy bank for it. We'd even chip in for shipping! (PS - For a more detailed explanation of the flick, check out this DVD Talk review.) And if you just wanna get away from it all, Up is coming out soon on DVD, too, and there's a pretty cool review here, on Hi-Def Digest.
