Since visiting the southwest, there's one food we crave non-stop: tamales. No offense, northeast, but we have yet to find a Mexican restaurant that does it quite as well as California street carts. Fortunately, Donna's Vegetarian Tamale Sampler ($22) is surprisingly great. With exciting flavors like black bean butternut, sweet corn roasted chile, and smoked cheddar black beans with yam, you won't even miss the meat... or the southwest for that matter.
