Combier Liqueur D’Orange
Finally available Stateside, the original Triple Sec, Combier L'Original Liqueur d'Orange ($32) is 80-proof and bursting with so much clear, pure orange flavor that it makes you realize that often, the original really is the best. Perfect as the centerpiece to a classic sidecar or accenting our favorite simple sangria, (recipe follows) it’s already become one of our go-to premium tipples.
Killah Basic Sangria a la Outblush:
1/3 cup Combier L’Original Liqueur d’Orange Triple Sec
1/3 cup sugar
2 lemons
2 limes
2 oranges
1 bottle merlot
Club soda and grenadine (optional)
Slice up one of each of the citrus fruits and place in the bottom of a large pitcher or punch bowl. Juice the remaining fruits into the pitcher or bowl, add triple sec and sugar, and muddle together with a potato masher or wooden spoon. Pour in entire bottle of wine, and refrigerate for 2-24 hours before serving. Top off each glass with a splash of grenadine and/orclub soda, if desired. Bottoms up!
