While the cost of this adorable Wooden Flatware Set ($32) by Tulle and Twig is considerably higher than your average plastic set, it has way more going for it, too. Seriously, ever try to cut into a too-large piece of cantaloupe with a plastic fork or knife? It ain't happening, at least, not without both hard work and the increase in odds that it'll shoot off your plate and onto the ground below. A wooden set is sturdier, giving you a solid cut, spear, and scoop as you eat. And unlike plasticware, it's biodegradable, so if you loose a stray fork, you won't have to feel guilty that it didn't make it into the recycling bin.
