Sometimes we feel like we should be on one of those infomercials where an incompetent boob can't complete a seemingly easy task. Our challenge? Buttering bread in the morning. Sorry, but refrigerated butter can be so firm that it's hard to slice from the stick, and harder still to spread on the toast. The Sea Spray Antique Collection Butter Bell Crock ($19) is a special kitchen tool that stores butter at room temperature. Not only does the butter not spoil, but it's also soft enough to spread effortlessly. It looks like we'll have to save our big infomercial debut for when the Clever Clasp returns.
