We're not complete klutzes, but we have been known to burn our hands a time or two trying to pick a piece of food out of a hot pan. (What? The spatulas were too far away. We were hungry) That's why we're picking up a set of FingerTongs ($16) to protect our much-maligned digits. Made of heat-resistant flexible silicon, they enable you to grab food directly from hot pans and easily flip food over without it slipping from your grasp. The way we see it, the price of these will, over time, more than cover our old band-aids & antibiotic ointment budget.
