I love the material and the proportions - straight lines and totally versatile for all of my centerpiece delights (can you say Christmas decor?!). The problem: I am operating on a shoe string budget as my hubby and I work to make our home our own. I've seen you scour the earth for amazing finds for other ladies..can you help this poor, unfortunate soul find a less expensive but equally amazing alternative? (Yes, that is an Ursula reference.) Here's the object in question. With gratitude,
Jacy, I promise not to turn you into a squiggly creature in exchange for fulfilling your request. :) This was a hard one to shop for, surprisingly, given the simple style of the original piece - but I think I might have a solution for you. I searched for pieces with the same shape and feel, and tracked down some satin matte-finish black spray paint so you can get the same color.
One caveat: I couldn't find anything as ginormous as the original 36"x16" piece, though. If you like, though, you could do two or three of the smaller, cheaper ones for an interesting effect! You might also check out home improvement stores for a planter drainage plate that would be roughly the same size.

Janetor here: I may spend my days wearing yoga pants and T-shirts, chasing a frenetic toddler and two cats, but I dearly love fashion and pride myself on never paying full price for clothes, shoes, or accessories.
