Docking station, alarm clock, or both? Sure 40 bucks is a little spendy for a block of wood that requires your phone or iPod to transform it into an alarm clock, but the Beech Wood Alarm Dock ($40) by Jonas Damon reminds us of our first alarm clock. The one we got one year for Christmas and felt totally gypped about because we wanted a boombox. The one that still sits by our bedside because it's a damn reliable alarm clock.
