You may not be aware of it - we certainly weren't - but October 13th is apparently National Bring Your Teddy Bear to Work Day.
Of course, the viability of this festive occasion depends heavily on the culture of one's workplace, but if you're inclined to participate and need a teddy, you cannot do better the Snuffles Bear ($19) from Gund. Now, we fully expect a lot of you to say, "oh my God, they still make these?" - and yes they do. These bears have been around for decades, and they're pretty much the sweetest things ever. We distribute them shamelessly.
P.S. Did you have one growing up? Leave a comment!

I had/have the dark brown Snuffles bear growing up, and totally plan on getting one for my future children. The best teddy bear EVER!

Absolutely, I did! I think I earned it for selling 50 boxes of girl scout cookies, back when Girl Scouts still went door to door. sigh

I had a Gund beaver who still resides on my dresser...his name is Mr. Beaver. Not a bear, but still awesome.

I totally had one of these! It may still be in my closet. And my most favorite bear, that I took with me everywhere (including a trip to Ireland and all my moves through college, grad school and now here), is a Gund. Of course, now he's pretty worn, but I still love him!

I had 3 of these, pink, brown and white, and they were my favorite stuffed animals growing up!

I had the pinkish one. I still do, actually. Like many of my childhood keepsakes he resides in the cedar chest my grandpa built me.

I'm 26 and still have mine. It was once white like the one pictured (it was too well loved to be white now). My mom had to have a back up one just in case I lost mine so I have that one now too. I was thrilled to see they still make them because I haven't seen them in a store in years.
