Punxsutawney Phil, you stinkin' liar. 'no six weeks of winter', our sweet ass. We love hot chocolate and warm sweaters and curling up by the fire with our honey as much as the next girl, but it's getting old FAST. We are so ready for spring! With that in mind, we're counting down the days until March 21st, the official first day of spring, with some fabulous Aspire/Acquire posts featuring ideas for spring fashion and frolicking. Bring on the warm weather!
Ballet flats are a staple in any woman's spring wardrobe - cute, comfortable and versatile they're a handy little shoe to have around. We've all got a pair of serviceable black flats lingering in our closet, but don't be remiss in livening up your options in the skimmer department. Spice it up with bold colors and textures. Today we're endorsing purple-sparkly, both because it's Friday and because the combination is marvelous. Our aspire option comes from Tapeet by Vicini ($325). We are loving the amethyst shimmer and the elastic around the sides ensures they won't stretch out and slip off your feet. The acquire pick is just as charming, but more wallet friendly at just $30. The sequins on the Ann Marino Women's Century Flat give it a little glimmer and we like the extra detail of the lacing and bow.
And, as always, if you've got something you love that's out of your reach, email us and we'll find you some more budget-friendly lookalikes for a future Aspire/Acquire feature!
