Personal Shopper: Fab 30DD Bras for Nina

Nina wrote, "Hey Outblush Staff! I'm a small woman with large breasts (30DD). I need bras but hardly anyone makes them in my size. I try to squeeze into a size that might be similar like a 34C but that really doesn't work. It either hurts or I look...awkward. I either have to get them specially made or I have to go to a specialty shop where bras start at $80 a pop! I can't afford this and I'm at the point where I have one good bra left (it's getting pretty worn though). Can you please help me find an affordable bra in my size? Thanks, Nina."

We feel your pain, Nina - the world wants us to have big boobs, but won't help us support them if we do! All of the bras featured here are available in a 30DD; they are a little pricier than, say, a $12 Target or $20 Victoria's Secret Bra (we couldn't find 30DD at either of those places), but if you care for them well, they'll last awhile. A few tips: ONLY hand-wash them with a lingerie detergent like woolite, lay flat to dry on a clean towel, and never store them with the underwire twisted.

1 - Freya Summer Plunge Underwire Bra ($64)

2 - Calvin Klein Seductive Comfort T-Shirt Bra ($44)

3 - Eda Margot Mesh Range Non Padded Balcony Bra ($53)

4 - Lepel Fiore Full Coverage Underwire Bra ($31)

5 - Gossard Temptress Superboost Plunge Bra ($43)

6 - Shock Absorber Level 3 Classic Sports Bra ($43)

7 - Wonderbra D-G Everyday T-Shirt Bra ($44)

8 - Panache Porcelain Lace Bra ($62)

9 - Calvin Klein Seductive Comfort Customized Lift Bra ($44)

Frustrated in your search for that perfect leather handbag, red stiletto pump, or whatever makes your heart go thump in the night? Send us a request and we might do the shopping work for you in a future Personal Shopper feature!

I feel your pain! I'm a 32E. I'm a big fan of Le Mystere bras, but not all come in size 30. I found this community to be helpful: http://community.livejournal.com/thirty_twod

Try Bravissimo.com. Great stuff (bras, shirts, dresses, tops - everything) in great quality. It's in UK but shipping is really reasonable. I have gotten some really nice stuff there.

Hey Outblush, I saw this post and was inspired to get your advice for me. I am a 36DD and I'm trying to find a sports bra that I can actually wear to work out in. My problem is that they are still not secured and move too much when I work out. This is especially hard if I run on a treadmill or play DDR (Dance Dance Revolution). Please help me find a bra that I can work out in that works for me.

Try ebay on the United Kingdom site. To find put in a search and them scroll to the bottom of the page. You will find them listed in blue near the bottom of the page. Here you can find the same brands as on Bravissimo - which is a great site- for less. I only buy when I can get the bra including postage for less than 20 or 25 dollars.
Brastop is another site that carries these same bras and discounts them.
The english bras also come in a 28 band size. Remember the support should come from the band more than the shoulder straps (thought they help). Also when you go down a band size you need to go up a cup size. Bravissimo and others will list a chart of size conversions for you.

As a 32FF, I've been there! I'll second the recommendation for Bravissimo -- I lived in the UK for a couple of years and still buy many of my bras from them. (Ditto for Brastop, who once replaced an entire order that got lost in the mail!)
Biggerbras.com has a lot of the same brands (my faves are Fantasie and Panache) and they also carry cup-sized swimsuits.
For a sports bra, I am a HUGE (get it? ha!) fan of Enell. Their bras resemble corsets, but your boobs won't move an inch. For really high-impact activity like running, I wear an Enell bra *and* a Frog Bra from Title 9 (the other bras Title 9 has did nothing for me). It's been my go-to combination for years, and I'm really happy with it. The Enell bras are expensive, but you can often find seconds on ebay for around $40.

BiggerBras.com definitely has an excellent selection of plus size undergarments for those Ladies who are of the plus size. Definitely for those Ladies who are looking for an excellent selection of Womens Apparel, whether it be bras, panties, shapewear or swimwear, I would more than recommend them to visit BiggerBras.com as they will be more than satisfied with what they have to offer at quite affordable prices.
