We've made no qualms about our feelings for bugs as jewelry, but we think maybe the Lovely Insects Bracelet ($80) is an acceptable way to showcase our inner entomologist. Japanese seed beads are woven together in matte black and feature the work of illustrator Maria Sibylla Merian, a dedicated scientist and German artist of the 1700s. While the artwork is lovely, we're still not sold on the idea of being a walking billboard for animals with more than four legs - so you tell us.

I wouldn't wear it. It's not that it's creepy, it's just not very good-looking.

A little too realistic; very small entomologist target market, I would expect.

I know bugs aren't for every woman, but I love them, and I love this piece of jewelry. It's so fun and definitely different. Maybe wearing some bug jewelry is a good way to differentiate ourselves from the vapid bubbleheads out there? Who cares, I want one just as much as I've been dying for a piece of amber with a bug in it for a pendant.
