Fall 2010 Trends on a Budget: Ladylike

We all drool over the super-expensive clothes, shoes, and accessories featured every month in fashion magazines, but how many of us can actually afford that $800 jacket, or those $300 jeans? Yeah, we thought as much. So, we're bringing you $100-or-less versions of some of this fall's hottest styles! Today's pick: Ladylike.

Whether it's Mad Men mania or just some sort of cultural reaction to our hyper-casual society, all things feminine and frilly are back. This doesn't mean you get to go mega-girly, a la Scarlett O'Hara, but it does mean you'll want to invest in a few key pieces. Pencil or circle skirts, ruffled blouses, embellished cardigans, shift or shirt dresses, pearl jewelry, and pumps are all great options for dressing up an otherwise mundane ensemble. If you're near a great antique or vintage store, hit them up for great costume jewelry pieces. Below, you'll find 11 of our favorite girly-girl items for fall. Enjoy!

1 - Line & Dot Silk Pleated Bow Blouse ($78)

2 - ASOS Triple Ruffle Sleeveless Blouse ($47)

3 - Simply Vera Vera Wang Embellished Cardigan ($41 on sale)

4 - Banana Republic Mixed Media Ruffle Sweater Jacket ($90, in 3 colors)

I don't know where you're living, but here with temperatures dropping pretty quickly, some sweaters and fall jackets would be nice!
