You may have noticed that we're hardly perpetual rays of sunshine around here, but even so, we seem to spend a lot of our time enthusing about one gewgaw or another. Doubtblush exists to make it clear that we do not, in fact, like everything.
Honestly, we don't know what to say about Lori Gottlieb's now-infamous tome, Marry Him: The Case for Settling for Mr. Good Enough ($15). We agree that women (and men) shouldn't be so picky that their Mr. or Ms. Right haaaaas to have a six figure income, chiseled abs, share their political views, etc, but really? We'd rather be single our whole lives than get married just to be married. Our advice? Focus on the person, not on the "type" you think will make you happy: you might just end up with someone you never expected to be with, but who makes you feel like a million bucks. And... if marriage isn't your thing? Enjoy living in sin with your soulmate.

Tex
well said! so sick of these superficial women looking for brad pitt in their guy. Real men are hard working beer drinking and fun loving, and lemmie tell ya those guys are the ones that truly love you and have your back even if they think you are wrong...they are all the things a man should be because they aren't caught up in all the crappy things most women think they want in a man...
