Sometimes we're just poking along here at work (or down the street, or through our mail) and we see something that is so delightful and desirable and new and clever that we smack a big old mental sticky note on it to remind us to share it with you. And sometimes the exact opposite of that happens. Welcome to Doubtblush.
As if sequined UGGs weren't enough to make this clear. No good can come of mixing evening wear with mountaineering, dogsledding, and suchlike. Behold the Darby ($116), which is part pump, part hiking boot, and not even a little bitty part presentable.

I actually really like those shoes... With skinny jeans and a kick-ass utilitarian/military jacket? Why not!
L
Yeah, I also think they'd look good with jeans and a cute jacket.
Stephanie McDonald
I agree! Those are cute. I'd rock them ifi could wear heels.

Ooof, NO. These are a terrible flashback to the mid-to-late 90's and early 2000s, when these boots (and the flat-soled extra clumpy ones for guys) were freaking everywhere. No, thank you. Total Doubtblush!!

Not a fan, but honestly, they are a lot better than some of the stuff you girls post on a daily basis. Just saying.
Alexa
Yeah, I actually thought these were cute too and potentially comfortable. Might make cute walking shoes for NYC...

The heel is high enough to not look like something out of the movie 'Singles'. I think these would look cute if worn right!
