Doubtblush: Chinese Laundry Bright-Multi Real Pumps

You may have noticed that we're hardly perpetual rays of sunshine around here, but even so, we seem to spend a lot of our time enthusing about one gewgaw or another. Doubtblush exists to make it clear that we do not, in fact, like everything.

We almost like these Chinese Laundry pumps ($110), but let's face it, they're a little too Frankenstein to wear eleven out of twelve months of the year. If there's one thing we can be sure of, it's that they would be pretty fabulous with a Sexy Sally costume.

I feel like it is a failure of imagination to consider those too Halloweeny for everyday wear. They'd look killer with dark jeans and a blouse, or with a LBD and some sparkly jewelry. Wear them to the movies! Out to dinner! The grocery store!

See, the stitching is what makes it too OTT for me. Love the bright colors, but the stitching makes it seem cheap and costumey somehow.

LOVE these!!! They remind me of Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas!! A pair of dark blue jeans with a yellow shirt and these would be awesome!
