Here's the scoop... The father of the Napoleon complex is Napoleon I of France, whose military campaigns pretty much controlled 19th century European politics. Napoleon's Empire treated total war like total fun but also established the Napoleonic Code, which helped heal the wounds of Europe by sparking an international rule of law.
