Bangle watches are a dime a dozen these days, but the artsy Andy Warhol Flower Watch ($55) has something else going for it - kitsch. Mr. Warhol merged consumer culture and celebrity iconography to high art status, and here his bright colored blooms do it for us. We don't need a poster print when we can have a printed watch.
The screenprint side story: Deep down, we think Andy loved daisies more than Marilyn Monroe and Campbell Soup Cans. The graphics on these watches are taken from Andy's Flower (via Area of Design). Our favorite floral works are:
- Daisy Waterfall (Rain Machine), c. 1971, in the Andy Warhol Museum
- Head with Flowers, c.1958, in the National Galleries Scotland
