Preserve: Toothbrush Subscription

Of all the things we need to get rid of on a semi-annual basis, tootbrushes rarely find their way to our memory. The Preserve: Tooth Subscription ($13) is enough to make your dentist giddy. Every three months (yes, you should be changing them every three months!) you get a sweet new toothbrush in the mail in your choice of color and bristles. When it's time, send back the old one using the Gimme 5 program, where plastic goods get a second life. A partner company will grind it up and turn it into plastic lumber for use in new picnic tables, park benches, and boardwalks. Clean teeth and a better world - good stuff!

I love Preserve toothbrushes and razors. You can buy the toothbrushes at Trader Joe's or Whole Foods, too. BTW, at the stores you can pick up a postage-paid envelope to mail the brushes back.

Only Preserve toothbrushes for me too - and most everything else they make: storage bowls and cutting boards! But.....I just finished the subscription bit and it's no deal on your choice of colors! First they sent ghastly pastels which discolored immediately. Then, when I asked, they switched to ghastly dark colors - the rejects I think. No reds or blacks just horrid maroon and worse navy! Back to Whole Foods for me!

Another toothbrush subscription service is One Less Need. When you buy a toothbrush they will give one away to a child who has never seen one. It makes me feel good to support them.
