While we were hanging around our local drugstore the other day, waiting for a prescription to be filled, we spent some time ogling the "What's New!" displays in the makeup aisle, and were instantly drawn to the Revlon CrazyShine Nail Buffer ($3). The atypical teardrop shape of the buffer intrigued us, and we figured for $3, what did we have to lose? As it turns out, we lost dull, ridge-covered nails. Score!
Use the green reverse side of this gizmo to buff away rough spots and ridges, and then go to town with the hard white side to bring out a megawatt shine that rivals the best clear topcoat. Left alone, the shine lasts about 3 days. But, if used before a traditional at-home manicure, it provides a great smooth base for polish, making it last longer. Turns out the teardrop shape of the buffer actually makes it easier to hold and manipulate over the surface of nails, too.
