Like we tell our son in the grocery store: "If it takes longer than five seconds to read the ingredients label, we don't buy it." Meow Cosmetics approaches their makeup the same way: no parabens, no fillers, no preservatives and no bismuth. And we like it like that. Neptune's Grotto ($9 per jar) is 16 different shades of icing on the natural makeup cake. So serene, these colors evoke the Grecian seaside. Perhaps maybe we'll be inspired to go spelunking while wearing Black Crystal Abyss and Chasm. Geronimo!

Neptune's Grotto - a cave on the island of Sardinia, Italy.
Malawi and Tanganyika - Lakes in Malawi/Mozambique and Burundi/DRC/Tanzania and Zambia, respectively.
Acheron - River in NW Greece. Also a mythological river of pain in the underworld. Phlegethon, Styx, Cocytus, Lethe - the other 4 of the 5 mythological rivers in the underworld of Greek mythology.
Dead Sea - Salt lake, Israel/Jordan
Abzu - fresh water from underground aquifers given religious quality in Sumerian mythology.
Rio Negro - tributary of the Amazon.
So really, these colors evoke...the whole world (and the underworld, too!) :-)

I can't explain how geographically challenged I am. Those blues just look like Grecian waters to me. But I suppose that kind of beauty isn't reserved for Greece. Good call.
