Laura Geller Balance and Bronze

Oh, this is sweet! Laura Geller Balance and Bronze ($31) marries a correcting foundation with a bronzer in one compact. We apply it in "layers" until we achieve the look we want - from lightly glowing to deeply radiant. This travel-friendly makeup contains White Tea Extract and Centella Asiatica, two sources of anti-oxidants.

I'm really skeptical about all this Laura Geller makeup. I have 4 of the blushes and each one varies on my face from 1980s-hooker red to should-be-hospitalized purple. Maybe I'm somehow applying blush wrong (how many ways *are* there to apply blush, though?), but more likely the makeup is crap and outblush is receiving free product/support for talking about how great this stuff is.

Sara, Hi! We understand your suspicion that we're receiving product and/or support for mentioning Laura Geller, but the truth is, anytime we write about a product we've received gratis we make a disclaimer in our post. Otherwise, these are just products we've found, tried and see value in. One of the things we're proudest of here at Outblush is how incredibly HONEST we can be (which is what makes Doubtblush so much fun). We are beholden to no company! (How cool is that?) In regard to your experience with LG; it's the perfect illustration of how one product can work beautifully on one skin type and look like crap-on-a-stick on another. What we find with all blush and bronzer products is that a really good primer and a diffusing applicator brush make a huge difference in how they look. As a matter of fact, stay tuned; we're featuring a fabulous diffusing brush in the next few days.

Sara. I'm a real person not affiliated with outblush, and I wanted to let you know I do really like this powder. I use it when my winter makeup hasn't quite started to run out when I start getting some sun. It helps to warm up my lighter makeup. That being said, I haven't tried anything else by Laura Geller, so I don't know about your blush problems. And I wouldn't say this is a miracle type product that you must buy. I like it well enough but it isn't a must have.
