Habits are made to be broken. While we often prefer our white floral scents to be on the cleaner, greener side, sometimes a bit of that grubby sweet turning-brown-around-the-edges flower smell is exactly what we crave, and Linden Blond Tabac ($18 for one ounce) will do the job for this summer. It's a mix of linden (these things), tuberose (these things) and a little tobacco leaf. Definitely an I've-been-out-in-the-hot-sun-all-day-having-fun-and-now-I'm-watching-a-movie-screening-in-the-park-you-cute-thing sort of perfume. Let it plan your vacation.

We have two monolithic linden trees next to our house, and right now, it smells heavenly out there. And our bees returned after being absent from them for 3 years.

Unfortunately, I can never look at linden trees or read about them without thinking of this Mitchell & Webb skit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oi261__q7gc
