While the Surface To Air Open Wedge V1 ($444) is funky, and fresh, and gives us the sneaker/wedge look we've been longing for, we can't help but wonder if it's a bit much. Day to night, this canvas and leather platform with leather sole, proclaims that we are modern gladiators, but we're not sure if we can pull it off. I adore them. Usually I'd poo-pop industrial looking heels but the fabric and construction (specifically that extra strap at the top of the ankle) make me want to get some boyfriend jeans and rock these on a casual night out - if I had half a month's rent to spend on shoes, of course :)
