Berry writes, I am in LOVE with vintage-inspired light strings like these from Restoration hardware but can't quite justify the price. Any chance your fabulous blog can do a round up of some price conscious versions? Thanks! Berry
Whoa, girl. This was tough. Like, wicked tough. There aren't a lot of clean classic light strings out there on par with what Restoration's showing. We kept coming across the same commercial strings, which weren't much cheaper than what you're lusting after. Here's what we came up with. - Robin
P.S. You might also want to hold on 'til Christmas decor starts hitting shelves, since retro is "in" these days. You might be able to find some Xmas light strings with similar bulbs for fairly cheap (and can always paint the string black)!
1. Commercial-Grade Heavy-Duty Outdoor String Lights, 54 ft ($105)
2. Table in a Bag Outdoor Commercial 15-Light String Light Set, 50 ft ($70)
3. Royce Lighting Outdoor Globe String Light ($35)
4. Golden Globe Lights ($49)
