Katie writes: "Dear Fabulous Outblush Staffers, if there's anyone who can help me track down this mystery footwear, it's you! I spotted these boots on several of the models in the September 2012 Downeast Basics catalog and immediately fell in love with them ... but was then dismayed to see that Downeast doesn't sell shoes/boots! I emailed their customer service department and received a reply that they had no information on footwear and that the boots could be from the model's personal collection.
"I posted the photo to Facebook to see if any of my fashionista friends might be able to help me, but struck out there as well. I emailed Frye and Zappos, thinking surely someone there would know the brand, but everyone has said "We have no idea who makes those boots." I've Googled, I've browsed through thousands of results from shopstyle.com, and now I am turning to you in my final attempt to locate these boots before I give up."
We're starting to think that the Downeast Basics models enslaved themselves some shoe elves, because for the life of us, we can't track down an exact match for the mystery boot you're lusting for. We did, however, find a few that capture the same sort of look and style, and have the advantage of actually existing.
