Personal Shopper: Mother of the Bride Dresses for Cynthia

Cynthia writes: "My daughter's wedding is coming up in August 2012 and I need a mother of the bride dress. I hate the shapeless-with-jacket gowns available in bridal stores, but obviously still need to be appropriate as the mother of the bride. I'll wear either a size 6 or 8, budget is not really a concern (after all, it's my daughter's wedding!), and I want to find something that doesn't look frumpy or old. I may be her mom, but I'm in good shape, slender, don't mind showing off my arms - not terribly comfortable with strapless, but can swing it. I won't wear anything to tight, and prefer either cocktail length or down to the ground. Thank you so much for your help! Cynthia"

Hi Cynthia, I'm Found of You. Good for you for being in such great shape! I also hope to be able to attend my sons' (ages two and not born yet) weddings without having to hide any arm jiggle. Have a great time at your daughter's wedding.

As an accessorizing whiz, I can style your "What do I wear with it?!" clothing, dig up awesome maternity and nursing clothes (I'm a Mommy!), and make your tootsies look perfect in fabulous flats (or pumps, or sandals). Oh, and if you need to give someone (ME!!) a gift, I say buy 'em food and books, and I'd love to help you find just the right stuff.

I like option #6. Being Cynthia's sister, I know what a class act she is, and that #6 would look fantastic on her!
