Melissa writes: "Dear Outblush, you helped me a ton last summer, when I visited London & Paris in complete style (thank you!) and now I need your help again.
I'm headed on Dubai and Abu Dhabi in early April. I've visited a few travel websites, which suggest that women to cover their shoulders and knees while in public. I want to respect their culture, but I'm not sure what stylish options are out there when daily high temps will be in the upper 80s and early 90s. Please help me from looking like a sweaty super-tourist in my pictures! I plan to spend some time dune-bashing in the desert and strolling through the city's charming souks, so whatever I wear needs to be cool and comfortable without the frump. I'm 5'1, 100 lbs. and I usually wear a size 0-2. I would like to keep the pieces under $50 each. Thank you! I'm so looking forward to your suggestions."
Hi Melissa! I'm Found of You, and I've been to Israel, where in some neighborhoods you have to keep pretty covered up. Luckily, maxi skirts are in fashion right now! Grab a couple of those, some capris for dune-bashing and a few loose, 100% cotton shirts and you'll look great and not be toooooo sweaty, although you will be kinda sweaty. Sorry. There might be some places where you need to cover your head, so make sure you carry a scarf with you that can be used as a head covering.
