I have one of those dividing trays but how about all my large spoons, ladles and other larger items?? Please help! My drawer is a disaster and I need something that works! Thank you! Thank you!"
First home? Woohoo! Go, you! We've got a few suggestions, and all will work depending on how big of a kitchen you've got & how much cabinet, counter, & drawer space. First are utensil crocks - we've got one that we keep beside the stove with the spatulas, tongs, etc that we use the most, so we can grab them as we're cooking. Second are wall-mounted magnetic knife/utensil racks (if you've got small kids running around, store the knives in a drawer so inquisitive wee hands don't pull them off) - any metal knife or utensil will stick to 'em. Last are kitchen carts, which usually feature extra drawers, towel bars, and the like, and can be wheeled around as needed.
1 - Butterfly Utensil Crock & Utensil Set ($15)
2 - Le Creuset Utensil Holder ($35, in 4 colors)
3 - Bamboo Kitchen Utensil Crock ($13)
4 - Granite-Top Kitchen Cart ($100)
5 - Mandalay Bamboo Kitchen Cart ($100 on sale)
6 - Stainless Steel Magnetic Knife Rack ($20)
7 - 13" Bamboo Magnetic Knife Rack ($28)
