Personal Shopper: East Coast Edition - Gifts for Jordan's Gorgeous Valentine

Jordan writes: First off - love, love, love you all! Every day I religiously check your site, then add things I want (for myself or others) to shopping lists I build all year. (I find this incredibly helfpul for birthdays, babies, and holidays). So, on to why I am writing: this year will be my first Valentine's with my girlfriend (we are a same-sex couple) - and I am at a loss as to what to get her. I would just like something unique and sweet that has her written all over it. Thank you so much in advance!!!!!

Hi Jordan! This is Trajano with the East Coast version of your request. I tried to keep in mind your girlfriend's preferences for yoga, reading, and all things Yankee and I think I came up with a pretty sweet selection of goodies from which you can pick and choose to create a gift just right for your sweetheart. I love sports apparel with a vintage flare and these are just three options that have that old school style (ranging from $30-$40). A travel yoga mat ($29) and DVD ($10) would be a great way for her to unwind while she's traveling for work. BookSwim is like Netflix for readers - an online lending library with different membership plans. You can set her up and pay for a few trial months, or if a love of reading is something you share, it can be a special treat for both of you to enjoy. And finally - Lush bath bombs and bubble bars, both equally luxurious and relaxing ($4-$7 each). Pick out a few of her favorite scents and aromas (Honey Bee is one of our personal faves) and bath time will go from quiet to divine in about a second. Whatever you decide to get her, we're sure your first Valentine's Day will be a loving and memorable event!

I don't really get Bookswim. It's like a library.... except NOT free. A library card is cheaper.
