Personal Shopper: Chic Ensembles for Stephanie's Thai Dream Honeymoon

Stephanie writes: "Hello Lovely Ladies, I've been reading your blog for about three years now and I check it daily. I love love love all you gals do and I'm in need of some help for my upcoming honeymoon. I read through the bios and I was hoping Carlota could help...I'm 5'2" too!! I'm going to Thailand for my honeymoon ... absolute dream come true for me. Unfortunately the trip has left me a bit strapped for cash, but I'd still love to assemble a small wardrobe to wear and surprise my future hubby. It's pretty humid over there from my understanding so I'm looking for light airy sexy stuff. I'd like a few tops to pair with shorts/sandals, a cute dress or two to wear on nights out and of course some lingerie and bikinis for the beach!
I'm 5'2".
Shoes: 7.5
Pants: 27in or size 4 usually
Tops: I'm a huge range... depending on the cut I can fit XS to L. I have a big bust for my frame and a smaller waist though so please no tent-like tops...I get a pregnant look
Bra: 34D
Undies: s/m
My honeymoon is Sept 17th of this year. And I would appreciate it if you could come up with some tops for $30-$15 and dresses under $75? Swimsuits on the cheaper too if possible - nothing in the triple digits please! The airline tickets and hotel nights are taking up the majority of our budget but I still want to surprise my fiancé!! Max budget for all...$250. I love bright warm colors, and swimsuits definitely halter (bandeu and triangle don't tend to flatter me as much). I really hope you ladies can help me look fabulous on a budget. Much love, Stephanie"

Dearest Stephanie! Carlota here and I'm flattered you picked me to help you with your honeymoon ensembles. I've chosen quite a few items for you and I hope like them. And we're all pretty envious of your Thai honeymoon! We hope you have a wonderful time and congratulations on your wedding. XOXO

You are going to need pants and something with 3/4 sleeves (you won't be allowed entrance unless dressed modestly) if you want to go into any temples or ruins and I would recommend not to miss them! Sept is rainy season so a light sweater for chills in the aircon is recommended!

Yogi: do you know what the temps are around that time of year? All I find says "rainy" or "humid" but it doesn't give me any more information. Thanks for the suggestion though, I'll be sure to pack some because we plan on sight seeing the first few days before heading to a beach.

It will be hot but you will get blasted by ac too. You could buy a great silk wrap to keep in your bag when you get there. I love my athleta trek tech pants for places where legs are a nono but are hot and muggy. A maxi skirt would work as long as ankles aren't visible and could double as a beach dress where the attitude is more "anything goes". Have a great time and don't imbibe in too many love buckets on the beach!

Buy clothes there! They're everywhere (especially if you're petite) and cheap!

Stephanie, my new husband and I just had our September honeymoon in Thailand too! We were comfortable in light clothes the entire time, and though it was the rainy season, it only rained on us twice in 2 weeks! Have a great time, it's SO amazing!
