Amanda writes: I have two weddings to attend in September, one on the 10th and one on the 17th (Ugh.), and I've bought the perfect dresses, but I can't figure out how to accessorize them. I love Banana Republic's Carol dress--so I bought both colors (Is that cheating?). I already have shoes (black peep toes or strappy silver sandals for the blue dress, nude pumps for the yellow one). Can you help me find two sets of accessories, specifically necklaces? Since I don't want people to realize I'm wearing the same dress in different colors, I'd like the jewelry to be pretty different. I can't seem to find a necklace that will work. Long, short, chunky, simple? I like colorful drop earrings, but I'm open to anything. Since the dresses are on the more casual side of fancy, I think the jewelry should be pretty swanky. I'd like to spend no more than $50 or so on jewelry PER event--so a total of $100ish, but feel free to throw in a couple of more expensive suggestions just for fun (I'd hate to miss out on the perfect necklace because it's $10 over my budget or something). Necklaces are more important than earrings, because I already own some earrings that will probably work, but I'd love suggestions. I know I'm not giving you much notice, so I understand if you can't help me this time.
What purrrty dresses. And honestly, I think the dresses are different enough that people won't notice? (PS How many people got the invite to both weddings anyway? PPS How rude of your two friends to not coordinate dates with each other so as to inconvenience their dual attendees. GOSH!) Since the neckline on that dress is fairly high and the model is shown wearing a short chain, I kept it near the neckline except #5 for the yellow dress. Because a Pen Necklace is too awesome to be limited by any rules. I'm just afraid a long necklace would get lost in the sauce with the floral pattern. And remember: always do the Funky Chicken without shoes. Way classier. -Magzilla
