Personal Shopper: A red wedding dress for Kristin P.

Kristin P. wrote, "Hello Outblush! My boyfriend of six years and I are finally tying the knot! We're planning a fun non-traditional event and I'm not wearing a wedding dress. Instead, I'd like to wear a fabulous red cocktail dress-- red because my fiancee is Chinese and red is the traditional color of love and prosperity. So far, this BCBG dress is by far the front-runner, but its a little pricey (in addition to "fun" and "non-traditional" we're also "on a budget"). Please help me find something red and AMAZING to help make my special day perfect. Here's the deets: -I'm a size 6/8 -Id like to stay between $200-$400 -Its for my wedding in June, but I'm shopping this month"

Congrats on your engagement, Kristin - and props to you for going for a nontraditional look! (Not that we don't love the traditional white bridal gown, but it's fun to see gals mix it up) We've rounded up 11 celebrational red frocks that'll have you looking and feeling amazing on your wedding day. Enjoy, and let us know which one you like!

So I hate to say it, but that BCBG dress is absolutely the best option. That dress is GORGEOUS and I think I would splurge on the dress & try saving on the shoes or other ways...its your wedding day girl!!!

Wow, sorry, but I'm with Natasha. I can't get over that BCBG dress. It's really a stunner! If it is flattering on you, I think it'd be one memorable and jaw dropping nontraditional wedding dress.

Whatever you go with, Congrats! And I really love your spin on a wedding dress, you're going to look amazing. :)

I'm with Natasha & Liz. If Kristin needs more room in her budget, I'll totally donate/contribute to the puchase of the BCBG dress (I could never wear/fit into it, being a size 16). Just do it!

the BCBG is a stunner, but so is #2, and it's quite similar, and less than half the price. if it was me, i'd go with #2

Its me, Kristin P. and I know, I know, the BCBG dress is so so gorgeous. I haven't tried it on yet, so I can't say if I'll be able to pull it off yet, but it's good to have other options! Thanks for the advice, ladies!

#2 or #10 if you decide you just can't do the BCBG. Good luck!

Try Black Halo's "Jackie O" dress. Cute!

Someone should notify Kristin P., the original BCBG dress is now on sale for $348 and her sizes are still in stock :)
