Personal Shopper: A Preschool Teacher Wardrobe for Marie

Marie writes: "Hey Outblush! I'm hoping you guys can help me out. I just got a new job teaching preschool! I'm super excited, except I don't have much to wear. I want to look presentable, age-appropriate (I'm 24), and also be comfortable as I'll be working with kids all day. It's summer in Florida, which means it is HOT. Sleeveless things are okay as long as they're not spaghetti straps. I normally wear somewhere between S/M. This is my first "real" job since my graduation, so keeping the price point somewhat low (each item around $50 or less) would be optimal. Looking forward to see what you find! Thanks, Marie"

Hello Marie! I'm Found of You, and I used to teach preschool and also High School, which are sort of the same, except preschoolers are much cuter. Here's the plan:

-Wear tops that will hide stains, which means dark or colorful patterns. Kids love colorful! Make sure that no one can see down your shirt when you bend over, and that your stomach doesn't show when you raise your arms.
-Wear pants in which you can kneel, squat, and sit cross-legged. Make sure no one can see your butt cleavage when you bend over. Pockets are good for holding keys, craft items, and rogue trash.
-Wear comfortable shoes that can be wiped off after being lightly misted with urine and/or barfed on and/or other stuff you'll find out about.
-Preschoolers are like these sticky little germ torpedoes, but they're super cute so you still want to hug them and have eight of them pile into your lap for a story. Make sure you always have tissues for runny noses, and hand sanitizer and daily Emergen-C for yourself. Otherwise, you will have a constant snotty cold just like they do.
-Everything needs to be comfortable and washable. Good luck!
