Personal Shopper: A mid-calf shaft brown boot to end Abra's four year search

I like styles like the Steve Madden Intyce, but I'm 5 foot and boots higher than a 10-12 inch shaft are way too tall for me! I considered the mid-calf Frye boots, but they were a little too cowboy for my style. Can you help me find a pair that would come to a couple of inches below my knee? These boots are sooo different than eachother. I'm actually surprised how much I like the style on the Charlotte Russe boots. This Pungler is confused!

I'm about 5'2" and had a similar problem. I ended up going with the Doc. Marten Case Boot in grey (http://www.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=481271&cm_mmc=Google_Feed-_-2-_-21-_-MP221). They look a little "rough and tough" in the photos, but I wear them with everything: leggings, jeans, dresses, etc. They come right to my mid-calf and are super comfy!
