Laura writes: Please help! I've just found out that I need a cocktail dress for my husband's company Christmas party coming up in DC. Normally I would be able to find something, but the problem is that I'll be 6 months pregnant by then (and I've never had to shop for maternity clothes until now). I've been going through some of your past maternity posts trying to find something, but nothing's really popping out at me from the sites. I'm looking for something with color, not just your usual black dress that most people wear, but I also don't want to stand out too much. I don't want to go too crazy on the price since I probably won't be wearing it that much as well. Can you help me find something?
Hey there, Laura! I, Outblush Operative and Mommy Rachel H., have found you some dresses that might fit the bill (and bump!). These are all under $100, and you won't stand out too much in all but #1, which I just had to include because it's so much fun.
(P.S. My favorite site for inexpensive yet fabulous maternity fancy-ish gear is ASOS Maternity. Go check it out.)
