Personal Shopper: A Keyhole Dress for Meghan's Yorda Costume

Meghan writes: Hi Outblush Gals! Mitchy, I think this one might be for you... My sig. other and I have been thinking hard about a cool/unique Halloween costume, and we finally struck upon one! We are going to be Ico and Yorda, from the video game "Ico"! I am going to be Yorda, but I am having trouble finding an ethereal, white dress with brown trim. Here's a pic of Yorda's dress; I know this is a tough one, so as long as I can find a flowy, short dress with (hopefully) a keyhole design in the front and flow-y arms, that would be awesome! I am up for sewing the brown trim on myself. I am a size 8, my maximum budget is $120 (I figure I can probably wear the dress again, not on Halloween), and the event is... Halloween! Thanks so much ladies, I love your blog!

It's Mitchy, and I'll be honest, I'm not entirely confident in what I found, but I didn't want to leave you in the dark. One Ring To Rule Them All said that the dress looked more like a brown dress with a "filmy white overdress" on top and I agree (and not just because she's the boss). I think if you used a brown dress and something akin to an infinity dress in a translucent white fabric you could get a similar effect. But I did include what I thought to be the best white keyhole dresses as well; I think they could be enhanced a bit with an overskirt made of tulle or something similar to give it that ethereal look, and it would be an easy fix to add some flutter sleeves. Thank you so so so so much! I LOVE dress #2 and the idea of doing the infinity dress over the brown one is a great idea too!! You guys are life savers!
