Personal Shopper: A Just-Right Blouse for Jordan's Wife

Jordan writes: "I just bought this Michael Kors Papaya silk skirt for my wife for our upcoming 3 year Anniversary and I have had a hard time finding top for her to wear with it. I want her to be able to wear it out for a nice dinner or throw a jacket over it and wear to work. I was thinking navy blue or chocolate may look nice with it but I have yet to find the right item, the papaya color is brighter then she would typically wear so I've been trying to temper it a bit with a dark contrasting color. But I'm fully open to suggestions. She's all about a clean and sophisticated look typically not lace or frilly items. I'm hoping to keep the price around $50 plus shipping, but I could spend up to $100 if it's the perfect item."

Hi Jordan - you deserve mad props for picking out such a stellar skirt for your wife! I've picked out some simple, versatile tops that will all look fab with it and fit your price range. Not only will she be touched by the effort you put into her gift, but she'll also enjoy telling friends and co-workers that her fashion-savvy husband picked out her outfit when she gets complimented (which will be often). Happy Anniversary to you both!

Wow, that deep teal (#5) would look STUNNING! I love the way the drape complements the clean lines of the skirt. I might just have to buy myself a new outfit!

I really like #5 as well (my preference by far) but I would go with one of the other available colors - the teal is way too bright in combination with that skirt (personal taste - but it sounded like your wife might be of similar mind). I like #5 in either plum or ivory, the black might be a little harsh.

Thanks so much for the help, the #5 AT shirt is a really great piece. When I looked further on there site I found some other great options. I appreciate all the help, keep up the great work.
