Tara writes, "I have flown into a panic. Why? Because next year I start college and I just cannot figure out what to replace my giant, old, JanSport backpack with. (it was really meant for hiking--it's that big!) I love it, and it served me well in high school, but let's face it: I would be the laughing stock of the school if I continued to lug my books around in a bag half the size of my body next year. Here's what I'm looking for: a stylish, goes-with-everything, maybe leather (doesn't have to be, but it's gotta be neutral), durable, college-worthy bag that I can ride a bike with and put my 15-inch laptop (and at least a book or two) in. I'm not even sure such a wonder-bag exists! To give you an idea, I've been looking at bags from Saddleback Leather Co and Filson, but the prices are a little steep and although I love the sophisticated leather look, I'm trying to shy away from looking like I'm carrying a man-bag. Is my quest hopeless? Am I doomed? Anxiously awaiting your helpful advice, Tara."
