Mother's Day Personal Shopper: Cathryn's Librarian Mum

Cathryn wrote in to say that her "Mom doesn't care about things, but she does love books...but as a librarian, she doesn't BUY books for herself!" Well, we could name dozens, if not hundreds, of amazing books, but obviously that won't do. Hope these choices help you pamper your momma!

1- Mom: A Celebration of Mothers from StoryCorps ($12) - Culled from the archives of NPR's StoryCorps interviews, this compilation of stories from mothers and the families who love them will bring a happy tear to anyone's eye.

2- Blomus Utilo Tea Stick ($22) - We've yet to meet a librarian who didn't love a good cuppa tea! Gift her this sleek loose-leaf tea infuser with a generous selection of her favorites, be they oolong or matcha.

3- Indonesian Wood Magnifying Glass ($28) - Every librarian needs a magnifying glass. This one, made from naturally harvested mahogany and sonokeling woods, will be one she'll be proud to keep at her desk.

4- Lush Crème Anglaise Hand & Body Lotion ($45) and Bliss Glamour Gloves ($48) - Librarians do (duh) a lot of work with their hands, and the ones we know end up with dry, chapped mitts. Give her these 2 products as a set, so she can have soft, smooth fingers any time!

Hey, the tea stick looks perfect, though I must check with dad and make sure she hasn't got one already. Living 1200 miles away can be a pain.
