Retailers and manufacturers of eco-friendly products are cashing in on the "all things green" appeal of St. Patrick's Day with sales and promotions tied into the holiday. What used to be a holiday for selling green beer and corned beef and cabbage has been put to good use by retailers now invested in earth-friendly green products ranging from organic cotton apparel to greeting cards made of recycled paper. And with sales of eco-friendly products expected to hit $300 billion in 2010, more retailers than ever are using the holiday and its green theme to promote new products.
