Segway i2

Segway today announced two new models of their unique "Personal Transporters," one of which (the Segway x2) was already covered by our boy toys at Uncrate. The other, the Segway i2 ($5,000), is a little less, um, Rambo-ish. The i2 is ideal for most urban and suburban settings, has a top speed of 12.5 mph, and can travel up to 24 miles on a single charge of its lithium-ion batteries. It comes in two finishes, anodized black or gloss white. New features include LeanSteer technology for easier turning and an all-in-one wireless InfoKey controller that turns on the Segway and offers key data and security features. Sure, you could buy a used car for five grand, but you'll be the future (*cue eery sci-fi sound*) on one of these bad boys.
