Want a pet, but don't have time for a dog and the landlord has put the kibosh on having a cat? How about a fish? They're not terribly entertaining and really, not very easy to cuddle with, but they are easy to care for, and pretty darn relaxing to have around. This Hanging Aquarium ($35) doesn't call for much space and has a built-in LED lamp to help illuminate a room.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS. This aquarium is far too tiny for any fish to live a happy, healthy life. Instead, take a look at larger aquariums, more spacious aquariums that have plenty of room for your fish to frolic.

I owned one of these and I don't recommend it. Although bettas CAN live in such small housing it's not the best for them. After I moved mine to a 4 gallon bowl (still not very large) his color improved, he became more active and less prone to dropsy and other minor illnesses. What's more, the light here barely lights anything, let alone a room.

The recommended space for each fish is 10 gallons, this is way too small.

What crap. A fish is a living creature, not a toy.
